Fine for occasional use...Bought this chair for my 7 year old lad's desk. I'd say it was fine for short periods of occasional use, like half hour of homework, or to sit on it to watch a TV show. But it's not padded enough to be comfortable for longer periods - like watching a full movie at his desk or for a moderate length gaming session.
The back of the chair isn't padded, and the base has an inch or so of very easily compressible sponge under the fabric, which lets you clearly feel the grain of the plywood underneath if you press on it. The height adjuster cylinder is operated by a lever and can easily lift my lad while he's sat on the chair, but he can't push it back down as the cylinder is quite strong. So you'll likely need to help your child lower the seat unless they have a couple of siblings that can pile onto their lap to help them add weight. This chair has no recline/tilt feature, but as a result is steady and solidly constructed, and not at all structurally flimsy. It was trivial to put together too, and the included instructions were fool-proof. It's a shame there isn't a little more padding on the seat base, but for occasional use, or use by mates visiting on playdates where kids rarely sit still for long periods, then it's a good spare chair. For longer seated sessions consider a more comfortable gaming chair, a foam booster cushion, or something with deeper padding.Posted on

Some parts tricky to assembleThis chair looks good once made but my husband and I struggled to get the central metal pole into the base - it really wobbled until he sat on it and used his whole weight to force it into the hole! Persevere and it's worth it. Be good for age 10 and under I'd say. It looks nice.

Good chair for childrenMy daughter loves it. Looks good on her bed room . Easy to assemble . Wheels move freely in and out of the desk. Nonetheles, as she is light weight she finds it difficult to press the chair down once it is up, it is not a problem as we are there to take it down for her using our heavy weight. The chair is value for money, it is cheaper and better than others i saw in Ikea.

Perfect for a 6 year oldGot this for my son as recently got him a child’s desk and he loves it . The size is smaller than a adult chair but will last him for a good few years to come . Has a good weight to it , feels sturdy and was easily to assemble.

Good Kids Desk ChairOverall well-made kids chair, it was a little on the expensive side but if you are looking for a proper desk chair in "pink" you will not find a lot of choices, hence having to pay more than I would have liked to but having said all that my 7-year-old daughter loves it.
